Bloc Party “Mercury” *Featured Video*
Here’s a new video for BLOC PARTY’s new single “Mercury”. This single was debuted on BBC radio1 July 7th, but will not be released until the 11th of August. So….
The track has been getting mixed reviews as their sound is quite a bit different than their previous albums-not as “Indie Rock”, and a touch more electronic. I like it, or actually, I LOVE IT. The track kills it, for sure.
Until it drops, enjoy the strange yet satisfying video.

Arnauld’s *VEGAS Trendsetter* (Summer Edition)
OK, kids… It’s your man Arnauld here with the Vegas “Trendsetter”-Summer edition.
The “Trendsetter” is what I deem to be poppin’ fresh, and they should be part of your current fashion delivery, on the streets of Las Vegas, and beyond… You constantly gotta keep your fashion game door revolving. Keep it fun, always, and rock that shit like you mean it-drop some serious swagger in the mix-it’s all in the attitude!
Its really simple. Mix & match-colors, and cheap accessories (save your $$$$ for new kicks) here’s a quick rundown on the summer madness.
Use hightops, vans, and running sneakers- and different flavors, or some super-bold-solid-bright joints.
Crazy colors, use ‘em, mix ‘em, don’t be scared. Cap two pairs of the same shoes in different colors, and mix match them. take one pair and drop a matching set of laces in them. Take another pair and drop two different color laces in them joints, now you have two ways to deliver crazy flava to get up. I try to match the laces with accessories that I like to use on the regular… like when if you rock a pair of yellow sunglasses, try wearing yellow shoe laces to match.
Always rock eyewear. Its Summer, and this is absolutely a must… no question. When you’re high profiling, dust off the high dollar joints… Otherwise keep it thrity, and simple. You know the $5.00 fruit flavored joints from China town. Use glasses with clear lenses too… or pop the lens out when you can’t rock the shades. Cap mad colors so you can do the crazy assorted variety pack steez.
Jeans, and shorts-keep em simple-aways. 1 color, unless they’re board shorts. If you wanna go board short steez, get crazy with colors, and design (not too “surfer dude” though) and keep your shirt simple.
Tees: pick up a few of your regular street joints, i.e. Crooks, Caked Out, Mishka, etc. bold design, simple, but, colorful. Old school shirts like a rocker joint or a comic joint will suffice.
Stay fitted, too. New Eras only though. Get the exclusive 59/50’s in assorted ill flavors to top off the fresh cut dome.
Finish off with kitschy accesories, like fake gold chains, water guns, lil’ graphic buttons, a yo-yo, rubiks cube…
ABSOLUTELY NO: Trucker hats, anything Ed hardy, rhinestones on anything other than jewelery, wack sneakers, and definately no cheesy brands like ECKO.
So…. Be creative. Make sure you balance your look, and watch the heads turn. Most of all, HAVE FUN!
Check the gallery for inspiration. Stay FRESH

“Oh Snap!” Open Bar ‘Til Midnight TEXT: “Girl” to 68398
As usual there was a mixed crowd in attendance for our weekly “Oh Snap!” party at Gipsy, Las Vegas. We sang, we drank, we lived, we loved, we drank some more. Good times.
This next Friday, the 18th we are expecting a very special guest set from DJ Paulie. We <3 Paulie’s style and begged him to come lend a hand with his signature indie-electro sound. Check out the “DJ Mixes” section for his “Dancing Too Slow” mixtape we posted a few weeks back… absolutely killer!
TEXT: “Girl” to 68398 to take advantage of the OPEN BAR until midnight!

Grimehaus Krushed It @ TILT, LA
Yeah, so IndieKrush teamed up with the Los Angeles based TILT party at The Airliner last Sunday, July 6th. The vibe was excellent as we celebrated the “awesomeness of the fannypack.” Special props to the TILT crew for their hospitality.
Arnauld and I (Grimehaus) really enjoyed the energy of the party, and had a lot of f’n fun closing out the night with a tag team set.
You can catch the TILT crew at the next installment of IndieKrush’s “Say What?!” party at Beauty Bar Saturday, July 26th. Good things happen when LA and Vegas collide… so don’t miss out.
Check out the “Upcoming Events/Parties” page (click on the flyers to your right) for details.

CLAE
Clae-Brought the “athleisure” style to the masses with thier hybrid styling in 2001.The shoe game has not been the same since. Clae takes the best of both worlds, and brings that new flavor. Designed for the modern man, taking inspiration from that comfort, and functionality of sneakers, with subtleness, clean lines, and classic shapes of the dress shoe. These aren’t those expressionless types either , peep the assorted fruit flavors, and your basic color joints that will have you smashin’ it in the office, and bodega.
Clae was awarded the Sportswear International Fashion Award (SIFA) for “Best Men’s Footwear Collection” in 2003.
Clae shoes are made for the modern city dweller, but they’re so fresh-its not limited to, the guy stuck to the couch playing video games all day will definately rock those joints too-If he knows anything about being dipped. You can stay FLY when your hanging with the boys or catching a bite at ma’dooks crib. These can even play dress up, but with that extra dash of flava, like a lil SAZON on those joints. Word.
Peep the collection at thier website, and keep your summer game poppin fresh!

Introducing: “Oh Snap!”Fridays at Gipsy, Las Vegas
Some of you may have noticed that Las Vegas’ legendary gay haven, known as the “Fruit Loop” is starting to look a little different on Friday nights. Hipsters typically limited to venues in downtown Las Vegas now have another hot spot.
Indie Krush is proud to present “Oh Snap!” Fridays at Gipsy. There’s nothing wrong with a little variety, and we’re bringing just that.
Every Friday come out, kick back, have a few drinks and fucking dance!
Check out the buzz “Oh Snap!” is getting, already:
“Did our ears deceive us June 27 when, on a random stop at Gipsy, Las Vegas’ oldest gay dance club, we heard electro and indie rock being spin? Gipsy has long been the bastion of circuit party house music and remixed top 40, but something seemed off when we heard M.I.A. and New Young Pony Club, among others, booming out of its P.A.
Who to credit for the welcomely cutting-edge soundtrack? Indiekrush, the left-of-center culture collective is helping promote the new Friday night promo “Oh Snap!” which aims to unite electro-lovin’ heteros and homos in the same way as parties held in New York and L.A. About fuckin’ time”.

Baile Funk *Featured Genre*
I’m in love with Baile Funk! Yeah, you heard me. Known in Brazil as Funk Carioca [translated= “Funk from Rio”], this style has been popularized by the likes of Bonde Do Role and powerhouse producer Diplo (M.I.A.’s, “Bucky Done Gun”) in the states and beyond.
This is one of my favorite genres, of the moment. The sample heavy sound can be best described as a fusion of the Miami bass sound of the 90’s and Brazilian percussion topped off with mad rhymes being delivered in Portuguese.
Legendary samplers like the MPC and MC 808 prove to be the weapons of choice for both live and recorded productions. Peep the video below of DJ Amazing Clay in action.
So…hungry for more? You’re in luck. BLP is dropping by with some Scooby Snax for ya!

Pan De Sal: Indie-World Beat Dance Anarchists Droppin’ Audio Bombs in Sin City
Pan De Sal is Sheila Hall (aka Orange Sheila), Judi Brown (of Love Pentagon), and Jeff Madlambayan (aka The Doodler). They don’t hesitate to use whatever instruments they can get their hands on to contribute to their indie-world beat sound…whether it is a set of turntables, a bass guitar, synth pads, or a didgeridoo. It is not unusual for them to hand out instruments to the audience as they run around the crowd destroying that veil between artist and audience.
Come see them July 26th as we present: Say What?! Pillow Fight Club at Beauty Bar, Las Vegas.

The Squatters: *Fun Audio Sickness*
Anyone that knows me is well aware of my tendency to obsess over things. Ever since I stumbled across these fidget producers I’ve been a mess… I can’t seem to stop dissecting their sound. Reebok Victory Court Pumps
Yep, Reebok has re-released the “Victory Court” pumps in yet another set of tasty colors. That’s right, you’ll remember these were the ones worn by tennis superstar Michael Chang in the 90’s… except these ones have fresh new colorways: aqua, orange & white.

Jokers Of The Scene
These jokers have been holding it down in a major way, in Canada for quite some time. Dj’s Booth & Chameleonic together have been bringing that fire with what could be described as a fitting mix of dark crunchy basslines, hollow reverebed synths, hip hop vocal samples, and straight up old school rave.
Recently this duo was signed to A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold label and have been tagged as the ones to watch. Anyone keeping good company like that is more than likely bound to bring the heat.
Enjoy these cuts!
